Why hello! This is my entry hallway.
{I know, it has nothing to do with hair, but I thought it'd be fun to feature different rooms in my house each week..}
This week I'm showcasing my red entry hallway - which really perks things up. See all the doors that shoot out of it? That means we're back in forth in this hallway often - plus, its where we greet visitors and take coats. So we wanted something bold and fun...
The rug was a hand me down from my mother-in-law, the small chest is ikea & I painted it periwinkle.
This mirror was a splurge. It's handmade, from Morocco and is a mosaic of glass shards and stones. The skinny red vase is Ikea, and the hibiscus flower is actually cloth because this hallway doesnt get much natural light. When we have visitors, I spruce it up with real orchids and a few tea lights.
Close-up of 'diablo', the little devil. He's a wooden puppet, discovered on the streets of Nogales, Mexico.
This is a framed postcard my husband sent me while on a trip to India. He reminds me of inner calm.
A friend of mine who is an interior designer mentioned that when you have dramatically colored walls but leave the ceiling white, you get the illusion of very high ceilings. She had a gorgeous entry hall in her New York apartment that I remember with fondness.
LOVE IT! You just have awesome style girl!
