Kim Kardashian Rolled Bun

As I explain in the tutorial, this bun is a bit different in technique. Instead of sweeping the hair around the ponytail we roll it forward. Very reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's and a must have hair-do for the holiday season. I also like the youthfulness and lift it adds to my face.

1. Rolled 2. Swept 3. Rolled
In this photo you can see the women in the middle is doing a sweep around and the other two are rolled forward.  Although I love that you watch my tutorials, I'm hoping you ladies will also learn to look at a hairstyle and break it down for yourselves.
Same concept, just very unstructured
Audrey's is more pointy at top but it's essentially the same thing.
Add pixie bangs and a tiara it's Holly Go Lightly!

Enjoy!
ps: this video also includes an Alexander Wang inspired side braid which I used with extensions.

  1. thank you for this tutorial, it's awesome! not too difficult to do either. I should really start looking at celeb photos for inspiration... looks like you get really good ideas from doing just that! I would use two flowers or a bow, too, because the back of it isn't very pretty.

  3. charlie: usually red carpet photos are a good source of inspiration for me...
I dont like to spend money on fashion magazines and try to limit my time online - so my research on different styles is kept to a minimum.
The red carpet almost always give me some ideas of what to do...

    deborah: Thanks, lady!

  4. I loved this video, but I love all of your videos! I was wondering if you could do a fish tail type braid with your extensions, I haven't quite mastered that but I think it would be very cute.

  5. hi jasmine, actually the fish tail with extensions doesn't work for me.
my real hair sticks out and it looks really rough. I do have a video on how to do fishtails tho so have a look at that if you're interested!
